Project description
Due to growing demand for hiking trails in the region of the Weinviertler Dreiländereck, 12 municipalities decided to plan a cross-border network of (thematic) hiking trails. The overall objective was to use the potentials of the landscape for tourism and establish a recreation area between the cities of Vienna, Brno and Bratislava. Existing (thematic) trails like the Mühlenrundweg near Poysdorf and historic pilgrimage routes were used as basis for the new hiking trail network.
