Project description
The relationship between spatial planning and energy use & production are becoming increasingly important topics when discussing energy plans for the future. Our dependance on foreign fossil fuel sources that are becoming more and more expensive makes it imperitive that we begin to discuss how to meet our energy needs through regional sourcing. This is especially applicable when discussing creating a decentralized energy system through the utilization of renewable energy sources. In light of the vast possiblities for research in this field, mecca set up meetings and discussions with officials from the Austrian federal  states, as well as the ÖROK, to identify 2 major  questions as candidates for further research.
